3rd-5th grade students are expected to use complete sentences and/or detailed paragraphs.
Pre-K & K: Some foods have high levels of acid in them. Name a fruit and a vegetable that
fall in this category.
1st & 2nd: What happens when you mix an acid and a base?
3rd - 5th: What is an acid and base? Give five examples of each. Hint: You may find some
in your kitchen.
